It is our sincere hope that you
will use these tips to streamline your beauty program, not complicate it.
ORGANIZE YOUR
MAKEUP:
- Separate everything by category:
Lipstick in one pile, shadow in another, etc.
- Toss out everything you haven’t used
in six months.
- Get rid of products that have an odor,
are messy or are running.
- Dispose of cosmetics that have separated.
- If you have makeup color that doesn’t
flatter you, combine it with another color to create a new
color.
LIP BLUNDER:
- The biggest mistake women make is
wearing a lip liner that is too dark. This creates an obvious line
around the mouth when lipstick wears down. Use either a matching or
neutral lip liner.
|
Hint:
Transparent pencil cases cost less than $3, so you can see
your cosmetics at a glance rather than digging your hands in
and making a mess. |
EMPHASIZE YOUR
EYES:
- Apply shadow only at the outer corner of
the eye in the shape of a sideways "v".
ONE COLOR =
LESS
HASSLE:
- Apply bronze lipstick as a shadow, blush and a lip color.
- Sheer lipsticks can both highlight and blush.
- Powder eye shadow can be applied with a
damp brush as eyeliner.
WHEN THERE IS
JUST NO TIME:
|
Hint:
If you find you have gone too heavy on your shadow or lipstick,
run a bit of white shadow over the area to lighten it up. |
QUICK FIX:
- If your shadow has fallen apart, don’t
throw it away. Crush up the remaining powder add a small amount of
rubbing alcohol and mix it into a paste. In a few hours the
alcohol will evaporate and form a solid cake.
- Broken lipstick can be easily repaired.
Hold it over a lit match and push it back onto its case and store it
in a refrigerator for a few hours.
